if i am not mistaking they had told me the stabalizer bars (sway bars) when they are diffective. i am going to change does on my 96 dgc for that reason my front end makes a rattle noise The end links and sway bar bushings are prone to failure on 1996 and later vans.
You need to install sway control when you are hauling. this will solve your problems.
Check ball joints, tie rods, drag links, u-joints, sway bar links, for grease zerks.
my 1997 grand caravan is on the original front struts. the original sway bar end links failed around 180,000, and just replaced the original tie rod ends at 204,000. still has original ball joints and cv axles. My 1998 Grand Caravan has had no suspension issues and is just shy of 180K miles.
front sway bar end links.. i believe there's a recall on them.
A little more information. Year/model. Some sway bar links become loose because of wear and the links continue to work but make a noise when the front end hits a bump. Other sway bar links will break altogether and the vehicle will lean excessivly when going around a corner.
The links go on the end on the sway bar and hook to the suspension. Bushings are used to connect the sway bar to cars frame.
