Model 940e 16gauge
There are two springs in the forend of a 940E. A heavy S-shaped spring called the 'forend spring' and a smaller formed-wire spring called the 'forend spring spring' which puts spring tension on the other spring. Which spring are you having difficulty with? repair@countrygunsmith.net
Various online sites such as gunparts.com can be a great resource for finding diagrams of various models. You can search by image, model, or year of manufacture based on what you are looking for.
Depending on the condition it could be worth $50-$125.00. I own 3 that are mint and one that is new in the box. The one new in the box is at best worth $190.00. Hope that helps.
I JUST BOUGHT ONE AT A PAWN SHOP FOR $65
