Reach under the dash at the switch. There is a small button on the side of the switch, push it in and remove the light switch knob. The switch is fastened to the dash by the round nut with a slot on each side of it.
The switch is located on the steering column right before it exits the cab.
It only has fuses by the light switch

It is in the headlight switch. If you take out your gauge bezel it's right there on top of switch..
What other dash will fit in your 1973 F100??..... The dash from another 1973 F100. If you're asking can you put a Chevrolet dash into your Ford truck, the answer is no. However, if you are replacing a dash that's broken or damaged in some way, or you just want something different (ie: wood or some other trim from a different year) any dash from 1971 to 1979 F100 (or any F series light duty truck) should either bolt right in, or will fit with only minor modifications.
It is attached to the headlight switch under the dash on the lefthand side
headlight switch has a short in it and needs replacing This is very common on older ford trucks.
It's part of the heater controls, on the right hand side
Bad solenoid
