How to Jailbreak (really simple):
Make sure you have your official sim which came with the iPhone originally
because when you upgrade or update to iPhone OS 4 --- 4.0.1 your iPhone has to be activated in order to jailbreak from your device directly
Instructions:
Step 1. Update to 4.0.1 or download firmware below

Step 3. After, on your idevice (your iPhone) open up safari
Step 4. On the address bar enter www.jailbreakme.com
Step 5. Read info, Then slide to jailbreak
There You Are Done!!!

∙ 8y agoThere are many ways to jailbreak such as KittyRa1n, RedSn0w and Spirit, however due to how old the 1st generation iPod is, support has completely dropped off and it is more worth it to upgrade to a newer iDevice to jailbreak. You can then get a lot more functionality out of your device.
