To jump a fuel pump relay one must first identify wich plugs are the switch plugs. These relays generally have 4 plugs on them. Two are for the coil and two for the switch. Some relays are marked with symbols identifying them. Others ( particularly European ) may be numbered. On these the terminals marked 85 and 86 are the coil and 30 and 87 are the terminals for the switch. If you can't figure this out try using a wiring diagram to tell wich wires go to wich by using the colors and tracers and checking where they go to the relay mount. Whatever you do don't jump the wrong plugs. If you aren't sure wich ones are for the switch don't try to jump it. You will damage electrical parts on your vehicle. Pull off the relay and using a small piece of wire with a fuse ( called a fused jumper ) connect the plugs on the mount where the switch terminals where seated. Take your time figuring out wich terminals went into wich plug on the mount so as not to make a mistake. This jumper will send power to your fuel pump when the key is on so you can test it. It is not a good idea to attempt to drive your car like this; use of this technique is for troubleshooting only
