How do you help a baby rabbit from death?

My dogs found a rabbits nest today, one of my dogs killed a baby rabbit (they are hunter dogs) and the other is still alive. I actually don't know/am not sure if it is alive. How do i see if the rabbit is still alive?

But i put an "x" over the nest to see if the mother will come again. What do i do if the poor thing is still alive and the mother abandons the baby rabbit?

well in my lifetime I caught five wild baby bunnies that were about to be killed by my dog. The small one some how found its way out i don't know how because the height of the trap well we didn't make it a trap they just got stuck. It was two in a half feet high. Unfortunely me my dad and my brother were to slow and i think that my dog broke its leg but it crippled back into the nest then we came and took the dog balk inside.

p.s yes you can and should raise baby rabbits.
