wash the blanket in warm water using baby laundry detergent (such as dreft or woolite). when drying the blanket tumble dry on low or air fluff, i find that air drying the banket keeps it from pilling. it is the nature of fleece fabric to start pilling after several uses/washes, you can buy pilling shaver mechines at fabric stores (such as joannes fabrics or michaels, even Walmart!) that you can use to trim the pillings off. Good Luck!
dont pick bits off it keep it smoothed down
If you wash it 3 times and tumble dry it 3 times and it still sheds, throw it out. These fibers are probably going to land in your lungs, and cause a real problem. For keeping the best quality of fleece blanket, please not use your fleece blanket of age over 5 years.
well there is not a food that will keep them from shedding completely, but sporting dog's dog food will help keep them from shedding as much!!
I needed a fleece jacket to keep warm so I collected some wool from my sheep.
Mother Nature invented wool as a fleece to keep some animals warm: the fleece grows from their skin.
No. If your cat is among the breeds that naturally shed, there is nothing you can feed them that will stop them from shedding.
A sheep needs the fleece to protect it from cold, wet weather, mainly in the early spring and winter. In summer, the fleece is sheared off and sold for wool. It is done in summer as the weather is usually warm, and the sheep can then be dipped to kill off any ticks that would normally be unreachable through a thick fleece. If the shearing is not done, natural shedding of the fleece will take place, but the fleece and the income from the sales of the fleece, would be lost to the farmer. Sometimes, the market for a fleece is so poor that it is not worth the bother of shearing. In which case, the sheep may be allowed to be shed their fleece naturally, then the dipping can take place.
