How do you keep your baby ferret from being defensive with his food?

It's a natural instinct. I usually put 2 bowels in the cage, they stop on their own, just keep the bowls full!!

A new pet baby ferret needs to have a quiet dark secure place to sleep with minimal disturbances for about a week. Your ferret will sleep a lot as a baby. Make sure he is eating the same food and might need it moistened with little water at first, with food and water available at all times.
Is it okay to feed your ferret baby food?
You can feed your ferret Gerbers second stage chicken baby food, it's even recommended for sick ferrets or ferrets with stomach problems (ulcers) as it's easier on their stomachs.
