The Koi Carp is a species developed by the Japanese many hundreds of years ago so it does not have a natural predator. Growing to around 24 inches or so they would be preyed on more when they are small. Their main predators would be predatory fish, water birds like Herons and Kingfishers and domestic and feral cats.
Koi (not Coy) Carp are big pond fish, they differ from Goldfish by having barbels (whiskers) around the mouth. If the fish has those, then it's a Koi and not a Goldfish. The smallest varieties of Koi still get over 24", big ol'fish they are!

I don't know about the females.. I don't think such things exist to be truthful. However I know how you can spot a male Coyfish a mile away... by his ENORMOUS GENITALIA!!! ~love coy Hi Actually you can only tell a coy fishes gender by its coloration, usually females are browns or dark redy colours and males are very vibrant reds. signed GonnaBaVET
