An aqueous solution is a solution in which the solvent is water... so NaCl (salt) dissolved in water is considered an aqueous solution.

Liquid is just plain H2O (water) or Br2(l) and stuff like that

In solids, molecules would be tightly packed together. In liquids, the average kinetic energy of molecules is higher than in liquids. In gas, molecules have the most random motion. In aqueous solution, water is used as a solvent.

To determine if a colorless liquid is water or an aqueous solution you could test it to see if it conducts electricity. If the liquid does conduct electricity it may be a solution because a solution would conduct an electric current much better than just plain water would.
