if there is a backstroke flag ( a flag hung above the surface of the water, near the pool end), then he/she would know if he/she is close to the end of the pool. if you swam past the backstroke flag, then of course, that would mean that you are close to the end of the pool. ^_^ Most swimmers don't just guess when the end of the pool is getting close. They count how many strokes it will take them to get to the wall. When they still have more lengths left, they subtract one stroke from their number and turn on their stomach and flip over.
freestyle/australian crawl butterfly breaststroke backstroke
in order to be a decent swimmer you have to know at least backstroke and freestyle well. that means you can do it with out getting super tired.
don't exactly know but i would say overarm and backstroke
doggy paddle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and frontcrawl
Swimming is a great sport as it is the sport you sweat most in, and has the least stress on your joints. If you start swimming in a club (theres lots around-they're really good fun!), after 6 weeks, the fitness will start to show and you'll become really toned and slim!helps you get fit, you can make friends and gives you something to aim for like winning competitions getting pb's (personal bests). gives you the ability to do what say cheerleaders cant do. swimming is hard but rewarding.
i dont know what is the temp but for swiming its the usa but the swimmer now is a canadien

no, not that i know of. I'm an athlete. it usually starts from joining a sport group. I'm a swimmer and i would recommend doing swimming.
The Swimmer, it's based on the Cheever short story. You can get it through netflix.
You can't see where you are going and so if you are not an expert you can hit your head on the wall. If there are no flags it is hard to know where the pool edge is. Also, you start from in the water (as opposed to a dive) and so hae a disadvtage over the other strokes.
They are to inform the swimmer how deep the water is. It is always good to know the depth for safety reasons. It is not a good idea to dive into a 3 foot deep pool.
depends what mean? are you meaning what a good workout? what are good times? sorry but, i think you'll have to be more specific. Let me know and I'll be happy to answer any question as I'm a compete swimmer :)
