Look in the owners manual and it will give you the location. It has to be OFF while the wheels are off the ground or it will do damage to the system.
well it also alert you air bags or suspension off
In the front passenger footwell by the kick panel you will see an off / on toggle switch for the air suspension from the factory
The air suspension shut off switch is in the front passenger footwell ( like the fuel pump shut off switch is )
THE AIR SUSPENSION OFF SWITCH IS USUALLY LOCATED IN THE TRUNK ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE. BE SURE NOT TO HIT THE SWITCH ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE THAT IS THE FUEL SHUT OFF SWITCH.
is it ok to turn the airbags switch off when the it air up on a 2006 navigator
yes the on and off switch is located in the trunk
If it has air suspension there will be a shut off switch for the air suspension The switch is located behind ( 2 ) access panels that are in the cargo area , on the driver's side , by the liftgate
Turn OFF the air suspension switch that is located in the right front passenger footwell , by the kick panel
According to the 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis Owner Guide : The ON / OFF rocker switch for the rear air suspension is located : ( in the trunk , on the drivers side of the trunk , the Owner Guide shows that there is a label next to the switch )
The air suspension switch is behind an access panel , in the cargo area , on the drivers side near the liftgate ( the fuel pump inertia / shut off switch is also there )
turn switch off and on
A 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis COULD BE equipped with the rear air suspension ( if it is then there will be a rocker style shut off switch in the trunk , any time any of the wheels is off the ground you need to shut off the air suspension system ) * I believe the switch and label is on the passenger side of the trunk on the 1996
If your navigator has air suspension then the switch located in the rear driver side panel where the air suspension switch is...it is right below the suspension switch. hope that helps.
