How do you know if you are obessed with someone?

Believe me, you'll know. He'll be on your mind 24/7 if you are obsessed with him, you will constantly talk about him (just because you like to hear his name perhaps). Everything will remind you of him but whereas in love it will remind you of the good, here it may be negative things as well as the good, and it could be any random thing that reminds you of him even if there's no logical link as to why) . Also i think that you would behave in a way you would never have done before, like done things you regret or that are in your nature. And the feeling of love is the feeling that you would put the other person before you in every aspect of your life, you would do anything for them. Just hearing their name makes you smile, seeing their face brightens your day, and here's a good one, you start to miss them as soon as they're out of your sights because you can't bear to be without them. I think the main difference between love and obsession is where, in love, you behave the way you do happily because it's for your guy but with obsession you may regret your actions later on, thinking 'why the hell did i do that?' When your obsessed you can't stop talking about them or think about them =)

They will constantly try to be in contact with you when they are not around you, always want to be around you, always question you about all things, possibly get angry or a temper arises if you are not talking to them enough. You will see a very apparent neediness as well as become overbearing in a variety of ways. Emailing, texting, and calling without purpose. Following you home, following family members home. Be careful because this behaviour can become and get out of hand - meaning very negative and possibly very violent leading to death even - just always be very aware and careful but try and get out of this situation soon. They WILL NOT leave you alone, they are constantly near you, they keep asking you out, or they stalk you. If they are doing THAT then you should call the police.

I would say when it gets in the way of doing what's important, such as, work, school, and family - of course you are to determine what is important, it shouldn't be the person/objective of your obssesion, but some thing that is accepted by the social norms as good, such as: duty, honor, respect, things that are universaly recognized as "good". Also I would say it's when you can't focus, the person you might be obsessed with causes daydreams of things you wish to do in the company of this individual, they simply occupy your thoughts, no matter what you try to do your mind can not focus on tasks at hand. It is an ugly byproduct of a beautiful passion, were you are blinded by what you have fixed in your mind about a person, and no matter what is said and done it doesn't change your perspective about the person- it is similar to what anger does to your actions, when your life or assets are threatened.

Dangerous Obsession includes stalking such as waiting in area where the person desired might be seen, following them in a car, mood swings between love and hate, excuses to see the person whether tender or argumentative, and irrational thoughts and actions. In addition to obsessive thoughts mentioned above, behavior that is controlled by these thoughts are a serious concern.

you find reasons to think/talk/do whatever you may be obsessed with. it's constantly on your mind and if its taken away, you wouldn't function properly. obessions can be bad because you will start to base your life on that one thing and things could go wrong once its gone.

trying to hack your email, facebook, ect.

staring at you constantly

kissing you for a long, long time (even if you try to stop them)

• A person who is obsessed by another person may follow that person everywhere they go or 'accidentally turn up' at the same places (an excuse.) The obsessed person may text or phone constantly; follow the victim through Facebook or other Forums on the internet. They may send you gifts often; ask your friends about you. If you are concerned and are a minor then tell your parents who it is or, if you are an adult then be sure your family and friends know who this person is that is obsessed with you and if it persists then see the police.
