How do you know if you are addicted to Adderall xr?

You're able to sit through a peice of work and stay on task until its finish. Only when you CHOOSE to concentrate on it though of course. First of all, Adderall is a drug of trial and error. There is no set dose that is effective for everyone. Second, as time passes, you will develop a tolerance to it and its effectiveness will diminish. Third, the degree of effectiveness of Adderall is not constant throughout the day and its effectiveness can also be variable from day to day. Having said this, if you have ADHD, some of the ways you can tell if you are taking enough are: (1) if it calms your hyperactivity to a level at which you can control it; (2) if it allows you to control your impulsivity by giving you the patience to think before you act and the ability to stop yourself from acting impulsively; (3) if it allows you to focus and concentrate without your mind constantly wandering off to another galaxy; (4) if it increases your attention span so that you can concentrate on a subject for an extended period of time; and (5) if it allows you to comprehend and remember what you read or hear on a subject that your mind would not otherwise be interested in. But, remember, even if you are at the correct dose, the effectiveness of Adderall may vary throughout the day or from day to day. IT DOES NOT TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY. IT TAKES TIME TO REACH ITS PEAK AND THEN, AFTER REACHING IT, BEGINS ITS DECLINE. ALSO, DON'T DRINK OR EAT ANYTHING WITH CAFFEINE IN IT. CAFFEINE WASHES ADDERALL OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM AND ENOUGH CAFFEINE CAN MAKE IT COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE.

Answer: If you start to feel less alert or active than you used to while taking Adderall that is a good indicator. Also if you start to have a more difficult time focusing or paying attention, it's probably a good idea to go see your doctor and get a higher dosage.

Heres how I could tell my dose wasn't high enough....Sit down and focus on something while you are on it and gauge how easily distracted you are. For me, at 10 mg every passing thing or noise outside still distracted me.

Pretty simple.

1. They might be slurring like they're drunk.

2. Red eyes (bloodshot eyes) or dilated eyes.

3. Strange behavior

4. A "distant" look

5. having you repeat something you said over and over again

6. A drug test. Adderall stays in the system for up to 4 days when overdosed

7. They look pale

8. They are completely relaxed

NOTE: This is while high on Adderall and the next 24-36 hours after getting high. (the hangover)

If it's the day after you suspect someone overdosing Adderall look for:

1. Red (bloodshot eyes) Or dilated eyes

2. Visible weakness

3. Walking odd (Adderall overdose can make your legs feel heavy

4. Abnormal heart rate

5. Numbing of hands and feet

6. Hallucination (mild. Like shadows, shadow figures, ect.)

7. Sensitivity to light and/or sound

if you cant go without it and suffer physical withdraw when you dont have it you have a physical addiction to it. remember friends... adderall is essentially speed in a pill. adderall is HIGHLY addictive, which is why most docs wont prescribe it anymore unless your medical problem is really bad.

Well just like me i was confused at first because i never got tested for add but everytime i take adderall i focus so good and my mind is clear. so i want to go get tested
