Your hamster will probably not walk on that leg, perhaps dragging it. Also, I had a hamster that broke her ankle, and she chewed off her foot. I brought her to the vet, and they said that they could try different types of surgeries, but they can't use any anesthesia. I decided that putting her to sleep was the best choice for her, because the surgeries sounded very painful. :( Good luck, and I hope your hamster's leg isn't broken.
Your hamster's leg will stick out of its body at an odd angle, he might make groans, squeaks, or other sounds of pain or irritation, and he probably won't be moving around too much; not even for food. You might want to see an exotic animal vet if your hamster is displaying those symptoms.
feel around the spot you believe it is hurt at if you feel anything you don't believe is right take it to the vet but be very very gentle with it make sure you feel its stomach as well even if that is not where you think it is hurt at
It won`t be able to move and if it can move it will be dragging itself.
It would be limping. I'm no expert but you should of took it to the vets as soon as something was wrong, i bet it's in a lot of pain. take it to the vet he /she wil know what to do.
Either its limping or there's a looseness in its leg.
it will not stand up or it will make continual squealing and lay on the bottom of the cage
Gently pick them up . Feel all the fur then see if you feel something lumpy. If you do take the hamster to a vet write away.
you can tell if a birds leg is broken if it hobbles around. you can fix it by using a peice of wood and tape
Depending on the severity of the break. Some hamsters adjust well with a broken limb. As most vets will not treat this in hamsters, or if they do, the bill outweighs the value of the hamster.
Just wait it out for a few weeks. It should heal on its own, even if it's broken. There isn't much else you can do other than put it to sleep.
broken rib
The hamsters leg may be broken so I suggest you take him to the vets.
If they fall.
Yes, but you need to be careful not to do any further damage.
Take to the vet.
breaking its leg
I believe that this leg lifting activity is just a common issue with Roboviski hamsters because my hamster was presenting the same symptoms. upon a visit to the doctor the leg is not broken. possibly sore feet or legs from much running also it could possibly just be stretching its leg or it could be a genetically inherited trait of the type of hamster. Little is known about these hamsters currently but, I would just say for saving a trip to the vets sake the leg is not broken. Shawna

you should go to a place that checks hamsters and they will tell you,but they will cost you alot of money so be carfull. the best thing to do while you wait is to take the hamsters wheel out so if it is broken they can not damage it even more
you can`t
