How do you know if you are pregnant while breastfeeding?

Most often, you will find a slight caking on the nipple. It almost looks like dandruff. The breast might leak a tiny amount of a clear liquid, or even darker fluid. The caking is the leakage that has dried.

The breast will become fuller, and sometimes sore. But the usual signs are that the nipple will "leak". This can also happen with non pregnant women who have a different hormonal make up.

Your breasts swell. The nipples itch or hurt. There will also be a leaking of a fluid from the nipples, not always resembling milk.

take a test if you think your pregnant again.

Later on during pregnancy usually right around your due date you will begin to lactate

It's most important the first 6 months but this is always up to the mother assuming she still have milk. We have excellent formula today unless the child is old enough for other food.
