How do you know your times tables from 6x6 to 10x10?

I memorized my times tables by writing them a lot of times, saying them and hearing them on music, and Cd's, doing rhyme's, and by cards: they showed me a card with a multiplication problem and I had to say the answer and I only got 15 sec. to answers. Try all that techniques and you'll be ready!! Let me tell you a little secret for the times tables of number 9. I never learned the times tables for 9 so what I use is the next method:

1. Put your 10 hand fingers in front of you

2.Then see the problem example: 9 x 3

3. Look at the number that your multiplying times 9, not the nine the other one, in this case 3

4.Count your fingers from left to right, until you get the number that your multiplying by, in this case 3, so it is the baby finger, then the ring finger and the middle finger is representing the 3 because it is your 3rd finger.

5. bent the finger that represents the number that you are multiplying in this case is 3 so you bent the middle finger from the left hand because the order is from left to right.

6. Count in both hands how many fingers are before the bent finger, in this case there will be 2 fingers before the bent finger, so that is a 2

7. Now count how many fingers you have after the bent finger, in this case there will be 7 fingers after the bent finger.

8. At last you have to put together the 2 numbers that you got from the after and before bent finger. In this case we got a 2 and a 7 so our answer to 9 x 3 is 27.
