Formal letter ? I took this in 6th grade but ok :
First start with a good opening: Dear...or Dearest
then state the event or occasion you would like to invite them to or talk about:
I would like to invite you to...
or
I would like to inform you ...
Then go ahead and continue depending on the type of letter, if you're inviting them some where... I would like to invite you to... where we will be celebrating...on the occasion of.... at ....and what else you think would be necessary to put in.
Or ... I would like to inform you that... because... and it is all due to...
When you think you have bored them enough just finish off with.. kind regards, sign off you're name, and you're done:)
