The key is to actually roll together the newspaper very very tightly.
It is easily possible to roll together enough newspapers in order to make 4 really sturdy legs for the table.

I would consider buying or making a wooden or glass top to put on top of the legs you make.

The legs will be quite heavy but can be quite an interesting sight.

The better approach would possibly be to buy some thick sewer-pipes, cover these with tapestry-glue and stick a few layers of newspaper on the outside.
This would lower the weight considerably.

To make a sturdy table out of newspaper and tape, you can start by rolling up thick newspaper tubes and taping them together to create the legs and frame of the table. Then, layer flattened newspaper sheets on top of the frame, securing them with tape to create the tabletop. For additional support, you can reinforce the structure by adding more layers of tape or using sturdy cardboard as a base.
