In general, black teas are usually brewed with boiling water, and green and white teas with water that has cooled somewhat below boiling. Another Answer:Fill your kettle with freshly drawn cold water and bring to the boil, add about a cup full of this hot water to your T pot, swill the water around for a couple of seconds to warm the pot, then pour this water away.

Now add your tea to the pot, one teaspoon of loose tea or one tea bag per person plus 'one for the pot', pour in your freshly boiled water, stir, place on the lid and leave to stand for 3 - 4 minutes.

Put a kettle on your gas cooker with at least 2 cups of water. When boiling starts add at least 4 teaspoons of dust tea. Lower the heat, add a cup of whole milk and stir it. Remove the kettle from the flame. Keep it for 5 minutes. Now pour the tea into cups. Add sugar. That's all. Some may add some spices to the tea. It's added before the addition of milk. Cardamon and cinnamon are commonly used. Bay leaves, ginger, and/or cloves may also be added (but no milk is used in this type of tea). Clove ginger or bay leaf tea is considererd as herbal tea.
