Strange, but true ... men can lactate. Apparently when the baby begins to suck on the male breast, something biologically happens and lactation starts.

How does a girls nipple produce milk?

A woman's nipple is able to produce milk because it has many little holes that are connected to milk glands in the breast (they are actually somewhat analogous to sweat glands). Tiny muscles contract when stimulated (typically by a sucking sensation on the nipple), and thus squeeze the milk from the glands.

What transport milk to the nipple?

Milk is transported to the nipple through a network of ducts in the breast known as milk ducts. During breastfeeding or pumping, the hormone oxytocin stimulates the muscles around these ducts to contract, pushing the milk toward the nipple. The milk is stored in the lactiferous sinuses, which are reservoirs located just beneath the nipple, ready to be released when the baby latches on or when expressed.

Can male milk ducts produce milk?

You can, but only if the woman is lactating. This means that her body is making milk. This might happen when she had a baby and has too much milk, or she might be taking hormones to make her make milk. There's no difference from a baby and a full-grown person drinking milk from the nipple. However, it may be painful for her, because babies have few if any teeth, and you probably do. There's no reason you can't if you are careful and she's willing and lactating!

How does breast milk produce?

The breasts have what is called mammary glands in them. When puberty begins the breasts normally enlarge from the hormone, (O)estrogen. The breasts have a series of tubes that radiate from the common center, ie' the nipple, where a number of slight nodules on the areola are formed by the milk glands under the surface of the skin. The tubes, ranging from 15 to 20 extend from the lobes of the breast and open at the nipple. When a breast is inactive, no pregnancy, is consists of mainly connective tissue and fat. During pregnancy, or attempting to induce lactation, the breasts enlarge and the mammary glands become active and when sufficient levels of the hormone required to trigger milk production, is present, milk is released into tiny ducts where stimulation of the nipple and areola may cause the milk to be ejected from the nipple. Additionally, Note, that a woman does not have to be pregnant, or have had a child for this to happen, it may also happen due to the effects of a hormone imbalance which may be unexplainable, caused by a pituitary tumor, or caused by regular nipple stimulation. Some women have started lactating by heavy nipple play alone.
