How do you modify the selected cell so that the text automatically wraps around in Excel?

Press Ctrl - 1 to open the Format Cells dialog box. Click on the Alignment tab. Click the box beside Wrap Text so that it is ticked. The click OK. Whichever cells were selected will now have the Wrap Text formatting applied. Text that is too long will wrap around in the cell.

1. Right-click on the cell you want to change (or highlight a range of cells).
2. Select Format Cells from the pop-up menu.
3. In the Format Cells box, click on the Alignment tab.
4. In the Text control section of the Alignment tab, click the box in front of Wrap text.
5. Observe that there is a checkmark in the box in front of Wrap text.

   Click OK.

6. Observe that the wrap text function is now active in the selected cells.

TIP: When you wrap text in a group of cells, recommend you justify all the text at the top of the cell. That way, all the text in a row will be allign when text in adjacent cells are different number of wrapped lines. After you click the Wrap text box, use the Text alignment section to set Vertical alignment to Top.
