Sell it buy a carbureted motor
Or...you could go with the basics: a free-flowing intake and exhaust including headers and low-restriction mufflers always helps. Check with the cam manufacturer of your choice for a modern camshaft that can improve performance. Also, a transmission update including a new torque convertor can work wonders.
Those TBI's didn't move much air, so you have to concentrate on improving low-end torque and get your best performance under 5500 rpm. After that, they just run out of lungs.
The heads on these were swirl port and ramps on the runners, not a performance head, and were made for tourque. If you want more HP, change the heads

200-220
Should be around 190 hp, 300 lbs/ft. That's what the same truck engines are rated at, I believe.
Stock HP is only about 200 chiefy98clg at yahoo dot com
For a 305 with a 4brl carb. it would be about 145 hp. For a 305 tbi it produces 215hp from factory. No, a 305 TBI is rated at 185 HP stock. The 350 TBI is 210 HP stock. I swear some people have no business giving answers. I am not referring to you specifically, but in general. I have corrected like 5 answers in the last 10 minutes.

165 HP @ 3800 RPMS
Advertised Horsepower is--165 HP @ 3800 RPMs. I would disagree with that answer. This castg number is a VIN K from 1987-1995 and if it was a TBI application , which it probably was, it produces 210 HP
With TBI=165 HP at 4000 rpm. With SCPI=200 HP at 4500 rpm.
