The turtle at the Kaya Forests is keeping you from digging there. Go to the Mountains of the Moon. On the upper right trail you will find the Opuntia Fruit (cactus pear). Bring this to Kaya Forests and use it - the tortoise will get up to eat it and you can dig.

To finish Kaya Forests, you'll need a shovel. (Get the Egyptian Lily at Blue Nile Falls, trade it for a turban at Nabooti, and wear it to get a shovel at Giza.) Return to the Kaya Forests and dig up the elephant relic. Jump up high to get the gold nugget from the palm tree. Trade these in at Nabooti, the gold nugget for a camera and the elephant for a "fingo" talisman. The spirits in the Kaya Forests will give you the green jewel.

You can lure the tortoise from where he is sleeping using the Opuntia Fruit (cactus fig). You find the fig on the third level of the path at the Mountains of the Moon.

Once he moves, you can dig where he was sleeping. Take the Blue Lily from the Blue Nile falls and swap for a turban at Nabooti. Wear the turban at Giza to get a shovel.

Once the turtle moves, use your shovel to dig where he was sleeping. You will uncover the Ebony Elephant and talk with the Kaya Spirits. Exchange the Elephant for the missing "fingo" at Nabooti, and the spirits will give you the Green Jewel.

(* To get a shovel, pick the blue lily from Blue Nile Falls, swap it for a turban at Nabooti, and travel to Gize, where the turban will fool the tomb robbers, who will give you a shovel.)

You don't.

The turtle is sleeping at the Kaya Forests. You will need the Opuntia fruit (cactus fig) from the trail at the Mountains of the Moon. Lure the turtle and dig where he was sleeping.

(You can get the blue lily from the Blue Nile Falls, swap it for a turban, and wear it at Giza. The tomb robbers will give you a shovel to use at Kaya Forests.)
