a convection oven is really no different than a "normal" oven with the exception of a fan to circulate air to even out the temperature gradiant zones. As a result, the air blowing around is a little hotter than stagnant air. Set the temperature 25 degrees cooler than your recipe calls for.

To start the stovetop burners, turn the nov to "light" until it's lit then turn it down to the desired height. For the main oven itself, there are knobs on the front of the oven above the stovetop burners. Turn one knob to "bake" then turn the knobb with numbers to the desired temperature.

A convection oven can be operated using it's instructions. This can be found in the manual that came with the oven.

Most modern ones do this automatically with either a pilot light or an electrical spark igniter. Very old ones needed to be lit manually using a match.

Do you have to put on the pilot light in the oven when we use the burners only?

Gas stoves require that the pilot light is lit on the oven because otherwise it would just be leaking gas.

Purpose of flash tubes on gas cooker?

On a gas stove or oven the flash tubes are the means of connecting the pilot light. The flash tubes carry the flame from the pilot light to the individual burners.

What is the risk of an explosion if pilot light on water heater goes out?

When pilot light goes out, gas flows out of the pilot light nozzle. If out has continued for a long time, a gas cloud can develop around the furnace. When you go to light the pilot light, you'll ignite this gas cloud and make a big fire ball. If your basement is drafty, you might never get a huge cloud of gas hovering around your furnace. When you notice that your pilot light is out, you should shut off the gas to the furnace and allow any stray gas to dissipate before you turn the gas back on and light the pilot light. alliedallcityinc.com

Pilot light is on but flames wont light when you turn up the thermostat?

This question is not specific enough for a good answer. What is the appliance? A furnace? A cooktop burner? An oven? The first thing to check would be the igniter, which is what typically "lights" the gas coming from the valve. You can check an igniter with a simple continuity test using a test meter. If the pilot is lit, then there is no igniter, or the igniter lites the pilot, so if the pilot is lit how could it be the igniter. Bad thermocouple, this tells the gas valve that the pilot light is lit, if the gas valve does not know the pilot is lit it will not allow gas to come out of the valve, this is a safety feature so your unit does not blow up.

Your gas oven quit working but the stove top stil works?

Check pilot or starter. You have gas, but no ignition.
