How do you overcome homosexuality?

The same way you overcome being a human being. Aka: You don't. It's not an obstacle or a difficult problem with a solution. It's a part of who you are. You can say you don't want to like people of the same sex, but that doesn't mean you don't. It just means you don't like the fact that you do. You can try to lie to yourself, you can try to train yourself, but how your body and heart respond is not exactly something in your hands to control. With extensive work, you could probably learn to ignore the feelings or impulses that come with your sexual orientation, you might even be able to convince yourself that you're "cured", but it will always be there, a part of you, just waiting for you to accept it, or die trying. Because that's the inevitability. People don't overcome homosexuality, and those who say they do are just lying.

If you want to know how to come to terms with homosexuality...well that's a whole other matter. You can't stop being homosexual. But you can learn to live with it.
