In other games, normally, a scientist from your professor gives it to you, but in Pokemon Diamond, it's a bit different. You get it for your Poke' Watch. If I can describe it correctly, it's a screen that has what appears to be a large plus sign. If you use your stylus, you can click on the screen and a circle will spread from where it touched. If the circle keeps reappearing and a dot shows, there is a hidden item on the ground. However, if you move from your spot your standing, the circle and dot will disappear, so you have to keep clicking around and searching until you find it. You must have a Pokemon with the ability 'Pick up'. Aipom or Munchlax for example has the ability Pick up. Don't let it hold an item either. To use Pick Up, you just need to walk around the area. Keep checking in your party to see if your Pokemon found an item while walking around. Leftovers found in Victory Road are very rare to find.
