How do you plait a horses mane?

You need to brush through the tail first using a main comb or a body brush. Dampen it with a sponge, and then take three small sections from the top. Start plaiting those, and every time you reach the third section, add in another little bit of hair, from a different side each time. When you get about a third of the way down the tail, stop adding in bits and just plait normally down to almost the bottom. Tie the end with a plaiting band and then double up the single plait and loop it under itself. Finally secure the loop with an elastic band!

Braiding a tail can be hard to do. I suggest looking for a online video.

put a hair elastic on your wrist

pull it on to your hair

twist

pull around hair again

repeat until tight

pull the hair in separate directions to tighten
