For PSP-1000,2000,3000 series,
1 - Turn the PSP over so the back is facing you.
2 - Prise the top of the UMD drive open with a fingernail.
3 - Insert the UMD into the drive and close the flap.
4 - Turn the PSP on, the game should start automatically depending on your settings.
Or, for the above, and the PSP GO,
1 - Set up a PSN account.
2 - Use a credit card or buy a points card to put funds into your wallet.
3 - Browse the PSN for games, and purchase the ones you want.
4 - The games will be downloaded so you can play them.

I do not think that Pokemon can be traded or battled on the PSP, because it is a different console to which Pokemon games are not compatible. You must at least have a Nintendo brand console to be able to play a Pokemon game. As the PSP is a Sony product, that will not work. This works with many other consoles, as a game disk or cartridge only works with one console and not any others (unless that console is programmed to run it: like PS1 games on a PS2).
The only time when you can have Pokemon on your PSP is if you visit a Pokemon Website while using the inbuilt web browser.

I am pretty sure that the person that asked this question has Pokemon roms on his psp. (a hacked psp running homebrew code that allows other programs like a gameboy emulator to run on it, thus allowing Pokemon to play) check out psp-hacks.com
So far, there is no way to "multi play" with psp Pokemon. But I'm still looking into it.
Simple - you don't. They haven't come out with any games for Pokemon on the PSP.

You can't because pokemon colosseum is for nintendo gamecube not psp
yes
u cant play Pokemon games at all on psp,PS,ps2,or ps3. because Play Station is not made by Nintendo.
Pokemon was made by the Nintendo company not sony therefore there will never be a Pokemon game for psp ps2 or ps3
No, there is not any Pokemon games for PSP because Pokemon is made for Nintendo. The PSP is made for Sony. So if you want to play Pokemon you would have to buy a gameboy or a DS.
sorry but there is no Pokemon on psp
not possible, Pokemon games are only compatible with Nintendo products.
No. Pokemon is for Nintendo products. Not Sony. If you saw it on a psp, the psp was hacked with an emulator.
There are no pokemon games for PSP, you need a GBA or a DS instead.

No, there isn't a Pokemon game available for the PSP. All Pokemon games are strictly made for Nintendo devices only. Since PSP is made by Sony, no Pokemon game will ever be on it.
