B# is the same as C.
So low C would be all fingers down, low E key and the bottom thumb key (if your Bass Clarinet has a low C)
Middle C is thumb and 1st 3 fingers
Upper C is thumb, register key, all 6 fingers down plus the bottom C key (on either hand)
High C is thumb and register key
(Super C is thumb, register key and index fingers)
A sharp is enharmonically the same as B flat. When you are playing a B flat on bass Clarinet, you are playing A sharp.
A,B,C,D, B flat, B sharp, and B natural.
An instrument that starts with a b is: a bass clarinet.
There are bass, soprano, and alto. But there are more than Three sizes! There is the Eb soprano, Bb soprano (most commonly seen), Alto clarinet, Bass clarinet, Contra-alto clarinet, and contra-bass clarinet. There is also an A clarinet!
D major is: D, E, F sharp, G, A, B, C sharp, D. D minor is: D, E, F, G, A, A sharp, C sharp, D.
The members of the clarinet family I am aware of are the B-flat (The most common), the A, the C, and the G. There is also the bass clarinet (In B-flat), the Contra-Alto clarinet, the Contra-Bass Clarinet, and other woodwind instruments.
the bass clarinet and the b flat are normally used in the band i am in
It is a B Flat instrument
Piccolo clarinet From the smallest to the biggest, here it is: ~ Soprano clarinet ~ Basset clarinet ~ Basset horn ~ Alto clarinet ~ Bass clarinet ~ Contra-alto clarinet ~ Contrabass clarinet
A Clarinet: Has a richer sound than B♭, frequently used in orchestral and chamber music. or A bass Clarinet which is has a lower sound. How I know is that I play Clarinet and I'm in middle school.
Nope. Other way around. The bass clarinet IS twice as long as the Bb one, and IS an octave lower.
The piano is a "C" instrument, meaning when it plays a C you hear a C. The clarinet is a "B-flat" instrument which means when a clarinet plays a "C" is sounds a "B-flat." I know this sounds confusing and the easiest thing you can do is play, rewrite the clarinet notes a whole step higher than the piano part.
No, a bass clarinet and regualr clarinet are not the same. A bass clarinet is much bgger and produces lower notes than a regular clarinet. However, they do have the same fingerings for a note. I play the bass clarinet and the reular clarinet play the same notes and t he fingering are the same but the bass is alot lower. They have there own music. They are similar in ways and different in others.
