playing Oboe is extremely difficult. and I cannot even tell you in an encyclopedia how to play an oboe. oboe is on of the most difficult instruments to play. If you want to get started I suggest you find a teacher. keep in mind that an oboe is a very expensive instrument
You place the reed in your mouth after you have put all the pieces of the oboe together. Next you cover the right key and blow hard to get the note out. To raise the pitch you push the reed down on your bottom lip, and to lower the pitch you take out of your mouth just a bit.
An oboe reed is a pair of joined reeds that vibrate together to produce sound in certain wind instruments, such as bassoons and oboes. I play an Oboe, and at the begining it may sound like a duck to you but that is normal for the begiging. You just have to get used to the reed and after a while the Oboe will start to change in sound. Play it as if you are the Oboe, not the notes as it says but play it how you would want it to sound. Glad I could help :)
1. Insert reed into instrument.
2. Blow.
i am not an oboe player, however before playing, always wet your reed with sailva and for your embrochure, put your lips on the reed and blow
put your bottom lip on the mouthpiece where the hole starts
You blow into an oboe through a double reed (two thin pieces of wood attached together with a small space in between)
the oboe reads on the treble clef and in the key of C
The oboe is a better instrument to play. I play it and it was very fun to learn. The Oboe isn't as common as the violin so many people ask me to demonstrate it because they have never heard it before. Plus if you are looking for a job as an oboe player it is easy to get the job because there isn't many oboe players. So the OBOE is better than the VIOLIN.
This person invented the oboe so she probrably was the first person to play it. Her name was Jean Hotteterre.
there is no such thing as an oboe percussion. there is an oboe, and there are percussion instruments, but not an oboe percussion. From an oboe player: I think you might be mixed up. I play some pieces that say oboe/percussion on them, but that is because those pieces are written for middle school bands.
yes temperate does affect the oboe, i know this because i play the oboe myself. If the oboe it too cold then it is likely that when you play, your saliva will get caught in it, witch will make the oboe make a funny noise. If the temperate is too hot, or if you have left you oboe in the sun for AGES then the metal may change shape.
A standard oboe can play a 13-note range - from a low B to a high G.

The oboe is a musical instrument. Therefore it is used to play classical music.

Ummm...oboe, ocarina, and organ. Oboe! It is a double reed instrument which I play!
They play with the woodwinds, and usually play the same music as the flutes.
