How do you program the garage door opener on a 2001 Oldsmobile aurora?

Hold the 2 outer buttons down until the light in the little house icon flashes rapidly. That will clear the memory. Then you hold down the button on your opener remote while pushing the button you wish to program. When the flashing light changes from slow to rapid, you should be all set. If your opener has "rolling code" technology, you will have to program that by pushing your opener button in the car while somebody pushes the "learn" button on the opener itself.

How do you program remote garage door button in 2001 Chevy Tahoe to open garage door?

How to program remote garage door openeYour owner's manual has complete instructions on how to do this. But, it requires that you have the remote opener provided by the garage door company. On my Buick, you just hold the button on the car's opener and the remote at the same time. The car's opener will beep and this should do it. Try thisStep 1: hold the hand help remote 3 inches away from the button you choose to program in your vehicle and hold down bothe buttons (hand held remote button and vehicle button) you should see slow blinking lights on your vehicle buttons. Once they change to rappidly, let the buttons go.Step 2: on the garage door opener itself, you have a learn button( usually located next to your lights on the garage door opener) push and let go the learn code, a light will appear on above that button, then you will have 30-45 seconds until that light goes off.Step 3: go back to the vehicle, push and hold the button you chose to program from step 1, until you see the garage door opener lights blinkIf that happens then the button is trained. Hope that helps you. Please leave a cooment on my website, and let me know how it worked.http://www.valleydoors.webs.com

How do you program the garage door opener on a 2006 750Li?

I believe the 2006 uses the same Homelink garage door opener as my 2001. Here are the steps for programming a single button: - Make sure you have the garage door opener with you. - Turn the key to ACC (no need to have the car running, but you need power) - press and hold the 2 outside buttons for around 20 seconds (it may be a bit longer) until the center light begins to flash. That erases whatever was in the memory. - Now press and hold the garage door opener and the button you are looking to program. The light should blink slowly, and the blink faster after about 4-5 seconds. - Release both buttons. - Try the button you just programmed. If the door opens, you're done. If it doesn' open, you need to do 2 more steps to program the new code into the garage door opener itself. - Leave the key in the car. Go to the garage door motor in the garage. There will be a wire hanging down. That's the antenna. At the top of the wire (possibly behind the light bulb cover) will be a button marked "learn" or something similar. - Press that button. Now you have about 30 seconds. Go to the car and push the button you just programmed. It should open the door. To add a second car, repeat these steps. The garage opener can handle codes from multiple cars. Good luck.

How do you program the built in garage door opener in a 2001 Sebring Convertible?

I have a 1998 Sebring that has 3 buttons on the drivers sun visor. First find the program button on your garage door opener motor head. When the button is pushed a little red light should start flashing. Now you have a cetain amount of time, usually between 15 and 30 sec., to push and hold the desired button in your auto. Hold the button until the little red indicater light starts flashing. Sometimes it is best to have help. Sometimes the auto has to be with in 10 feet and sometimes outside the garage. A little trial and error will work. Mike

How do you program the HomeLink garage door opener on a Windstar?

Here's what my 2001 Owner's Manual (see "Related Questions") says: 1) Prepare for programming the HomeLink Universal Transceiver by erasing the three factory default codes by holding down the 2 outside buttons until the red light begins to flash after 20 seconds. Release both buttons. 2) Hold the end of your hand-held transmitter 2-5 inches away from the HomeLink Universal Transceiver surface (located on your visor) while keeping the red light in view. 3) Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold the hand-held transmitter button and the desire HomeLink button. Do not release these buttons until step 4 has been completed(!) 4) The red light on the visor will flash slowly and then rapidly. Release both buttons when the red light flashes rapidly. Repeat for the other buttons as needed. It's been 5 years since I had to program mine, but it's still working like a champ. :)Garage door opener programmingFirst of all; no "garage door opener" came in or on a 1998 Windstar. That said; you may have a "garage door opener" in your Windstar that someone put there. This was probably done by the owner of the garage door opener that was installed in the garage where the Windstar is parked. To reprogram such an opener you need to see the instruction sheet that came with the opener. If this is not available, the manufacturers customer service department should be contacted.Actually it did!The above is incorrect, The 98 Windstar LX came with a garage door opener built into the driver's sun visor. I know because I have one! However, I could not get it to work when I followed the instructions in the Owner's Manual, so it's merely a curiosity for now.If it's a Home Link like in a 2001I've linked the instructions provided from the 2001 Owner's Manual in another FAQ to the right. See if they'll work for you.Not All Windstar 98 LX have itI have a Windstar 98 LX too, but I don't have a garage door opener. But at roof center, just behind the convex mirror, I have a 3 buttons panel, which I beleived that was a remote control, but it was a coins holder :). I know for you it's a remote control. Try replacing the battery or something.Which door opener you haveNormally, the instructions in your manual should be accurate. If it's not working, maybe your door opener is too new for the Windstar 98, and the frequencies are not compatibles. Which year/brand is your door opener? Purple or orange learn button?
