How do you program the keyless remote in a 1997 Mitsubishi eclipse?

Jumper connectors 1 and 4 in your data port plug under the dash on the drivers side. Within the next 10 seconds press your hazard button six times. You should hear your door locks click. Press your door lock button on your new remote three times within the next 10 seconds and your door locks should click again. Remove the jumper from your data port and you are done!
