If you purchase ebooks (including free ones with a cost of $0.00) from the Amazon web site, they will be transmitted wirelessly to your Kindle. If you download ebooks from other sources, you must plug your Kindle into the USB port of your computer. The Kindle will appear as folders, just like a USB stick, and you then copy the downloaded ebook from your computer into the Kindle directory.

∙ 13y agoIf you buy the book from Amazon, they're supposed to send it to your Kindle using Whispernet, the wireless connection.
The "manual" way is as follows:
- Make sure your book is in a format that the Kindle can read.
- Connect the Kindle to your computer using the USB cable that came with the reader.
- Copy or move the book into the folder named "Documents", on your Kindle.
- Eject Kindle (right-click on the Kindle icon, under "My Computer"). You can now disconnect it or leave it plugged in if your battery is low.

∙ 11y agoIf the file is epub format, you can try 2 methods to convert ePub to Kindle, one is using ePub to Kindle converter: Calibre, the other is using online ePub conversion service. I think Calibre is the best solution.
