Remove the clutch cover, loosen the bar and slide it back. Remove the old chain, install the new one and tighten it. Make sure you don't tighten it too much or you will wreck it. Too much tension on the chain will cause undue friction and the chain will heat up an could lose it's temper (soften).

∙ 15y agoLook carefully at the teeth. You will see that they slope up to a sharp cutting edge. The chain always moves toward the engin on the bottom of the bar and away from the engine on the top of the bar. So the cutting edge should face away from the engine on the top and toward the engine on the bottom.
