The VIN is the same as a car VIN, Trailers are considered Vehicles by the Government.

In brief 17 numbers long. First three are manufacturer designation. 8 from the right end of the number is the year code.

There is no VIN #. There is however a build plate. It may be located in several locations. On the firewall, glove box, frame, etc
