The Book of Mormon is only 513 pages (in English), and shouldn't be difficult to read in a year, or even a month. Youth groups have been known to have read-a-thons to read through it in 2-3 days! To read the Book of Mormon in a year, you will need to read approximately 1 1/2 pages each day, or 10 pages a week. (please note that this applies only to the current edition published by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, usually with a blue cover or included in the "Triple" or "Quadruple" combinations sold by the Church. Older editions or those from different publishers might have a different number of pages due to font size, layout, and footnotes.)
You can print a great reading chart through this link which divides the Book of Mormon into 365 equal parts (by word).

What is the total number of Nephites who wrote the book of Mormon?

Well, it's hard to say exactly because much of the Book of Mormon was abridged by Mormon and Moroni and they did not list the original authors. The only part of the Book of Mormon not written by Nephites is the Book of Ether, which was abridged by Ether, a Jaredite, then translated by Mosiah and abridged again by Moroni, both Nephites. Here's a breakdown of the Nephites who we know wrote in the Book of Mormon and whether or not we read their direct words or if it is an abridgement by Mormon or Moroni: Abinadom - Direct writings in Omni 1:10-11 Alma the Elder - Wrote the teachings of Abinadi in Mosiah 12-17, King Limhi in Mosiah 18-22, his own writing in Mosiah 23 and 24. All abridged by Mormon. Alma the Younger - Writings abridged by Mormon in the Book of Alma Amaleki - Direct writings in Omni 1:12-30 Amaron - Direct writings in Omni 1: 4-8 Amos I - Writings abridged by Mormon in 4 Nephi Amos II - Writings abridged by Mormon in 4 Nephi 1:21-46 Benjamin - Writings abridged by Mormon in Book of Mosiah Chemish - Direct writings in Omni 1:9 Enos - Direct writings in the Book of Enos Helaman I - Writings abridged by Mormon in Alma Chapters 31 - 63 Helaman II - Writings abridged by Mormon in first part of Book of Helaman Jacob - Direct writings in the Book of Jacob Jarom - Direct writings in the Book of Jarom Mormon - Direct writing in Words of Mormon and Book of Mormon. Abridged Mosiah, Alma, Helaman, 3 and 4 Nephi Moroni - Direct writing in Book of Moroni, abridged Ether. Mosiah - Writings abridged by Mormon in Mosiah Nephi (son of Lehi) - Direct writings in 1 and 2 Nephi (also quotes Lehi, Isaiah, and other prophets) Nephi (son of Helaman) - Writings abridged by Mormon in the later part of Book of Helaman Nephi (grandson of Helaman) - Writings abridged by Mormon in 3 Nephi Omni - Direct writings in Omni 1:1-3 Shiblon - Writings abridged by Mormon in Alma 31 - 38 Zeniff - Writings abridged by Mormon in Mosiah 9-11 So, we have the direct writings of 11 Nephites and the abridged writings of 12 more Nephites. That's 23 Nephites (that we know of) that wrote the Book of Mormon.

Does the book of Revelation agree or disagree with The Book of Mormon?

This is almost an impossible question to answer because the two books cannot be equally compared. It isn't an "apples to apples" comparison. Most scholars agree that John wrote the Book of Revelation sometime between the year 60 and 90 A.D. The Book of Mormon was mostly written between the years 600 B.C. and 400 A.D. The writers of the Book of Mormon never saw the Book of Revelation and John the Revelator probably didn't even know of the existence of the Book of Mormon peoples. The Book of Mormon authors did, however, know of the existence of John the Revelator and his revelation even before John was born. The Book of Revelation is mentioned twice in the Book of Mormon, in 1 Nephi 14:18-27 (written in 600 B.C.), and in Ether 4:16 (written by Moroni in about 400 A.D.) and John the Revelator is mentioned once in 3 Nephi 28:6 (written in 35 A.D.) [links to read these verses online are provided below under "Related Links"] The Book of Revelation and the Book of Mormon don't particularly agree or disagree with one another because they don't really mention many of the same things. However, if you believe the Book of Mormon is true, you will also believe the Book of Revelation is true. They do not conflict each other, and the Book of Mormon supports a belief in the Book of Revelation.

Why do Mormons have the Book of Mormon when the Bible warns against no other Gospel in Galatians 1 verse 6 to 9?

Mormons believe that the Gospel contained within the Book of Mormon is the same as the Gospel contained within the Bible. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more commonly known as the Mormons, have this belief. First let's quote Galatians 1:6 correctly. it states "1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel. 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ." The Book of Mormon agrees with the King James Version of the Bible as far as it is translated correctly. The Book of Mormon is a second witness to Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It goes hand in hand with the Bible and verifies the divinity of Jesus Christ. There is no deviation, confrontation, variation, between the Book of Mormon and the Bible, it does not contradict the Bible, it only verifies it. In fact, Isaiah is more fully understood and explained in it. If you read the full title of the Book of Mormon, it reads, "The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ". The Book of Mormon is simply additional records that adds to the Bible, written by prophets and others who left obeying a commandment of the Lord.Another Answer: The Mormons have the book of Mormon because a man name Joseph Smith, who had ties to mysticism and the occult, Wrote it, claiming to be visited by an angel, and started the Mormon church. If the book of Mormon and Mormon beliefs were biblical, they wouldn't teach people will become gods and get their own planet or universe after they die, among other things. Joseph Smith has duped a lot of gullible people into following a false religion.

Who was Mormon's father father?

Mormon(2)'s father was also named Mormon(1). The Book of Mormon never mentions Mormon(1)'s fathers name, it simply says they were descended from Nephi. Mormon(2) got the records from Ammaron, who got them from his brother Amos(2), who got them from his father Amos(1), who got them from Nephi(4), the son of Nephi(3), the son of Nephi(2), the son of Helaman(3), the son of Helaman(2), the son of Alma the Younger. We do not know if Ammaron was a relative or possibly the grandfather of Mormon, or if Ammaron didn't have righteous family members and so picked Mormon. The Book of Mormon never says.

John read 80 pages of a 240 page book last week he read 60 pages this week what fraction of the book did he read last week did he read this week what fraction has he still to read?

John read 80 pages out of 240 pages last week, which is 80/240 or 1/3 of the book. This week, he read 60 pages out of 240 pages, which is 60/240 or 1/4 of the book. Therefore, he has read a total of 1/3 + 1/4 = 7/12 of the book. To find out what fraction he still has to read, subtract 7/12 from 1 (the whole book), which equals 5/12. So, John still has 5/12 of the book left to read.
