How do you reattach spring 2003 Ford F150 cup holder?

There are two moulded clips that hold the cup holder into the dash. The best bet is to reach underneath the cup holder and pull them down one at a time and then pull out that side of the cup holder. When you get the other one released, take care for the light wire that must be disconnected by turning the small light housing a quarter turn. You should find the spring floating inside the dash. Reattach the spring by drilling two small holes thru the back of the housing where the small nubs are broken off. It helps to center punch first. Install two short sheet metal screws thru spring and into housing. I used #6 x 1/2 inch. Reinstall light, and then reinstall the whole assembly in the dash. It takes a lot longer to describe than to do. Probably less than 10 minutes total.
