Styrofoam is actually recyclable. Many recycling places won't take it just because they either do not have the right recycling equipment or the amount is too small.
If you have a lot of Styrofoam scrap, you can install an extrusion pelletizing production line to produce PS pellets. Many plastics processor will buy these pellets to produce such products as decoration profile. Timbron in California is one of the US companies that is doing this.
