Valve on top of the engine right behind the distributor, it looks almost like a tire valve when I was done working on the fuel system I gave it a shot of air to repressurize.

Mine is in the timing chain cover gasket. You can find your leak by pressure testing your coolant system.

Usually with most vehicles, while the engine is running you remove the gas cap and pull the fuse from the fuse box that operates the fuel pump. The engine will die when the pressure is out of the system.
If your 2002 Ford Explorer alarm system goes off by itself, you probably have a wire that is exposed or a connection that is not completely closed. Check all wires for the alarm system and reset the system itself.
Fuel tank must relieve pressure before you remove it.
