Taking the seat out of the car first is going to make it 100 times easier. From there it is pretty straight forward as you will see the bolts that need to come off to remove the motor! Feel free to jump on over to Smokinvette.com and get some more detailed pics of the process!

I don't own a C4, however there are detailed directions on how to do this at Smokinvette.com and with pics too! So it is really laid out to make it an easy job. Are you changing the cheap plastic gears? A ton of C4 owners have and put in the brass gears. Good luck.
Go on over to Smokinvette.com and in the C4 technical section you can find a diagram on this procedure! Good luck!
"Corvette Mike" over at Smokinvette.com knows just about everything you can imagine about C4 Corvettes! Good luck!
Once again, seeing that I don't know a whole lot on the C4 Corvette I would ask this question in the C4 technical section on Smokinvette.com and get a dead on answer! Good luck!

For this one I would go to Smokinvette.com and to the C4 general section and type in the search bar what you need. I believe it was only a few days ago that this was being discussed. Good luck!
Go to http://www.corvettefever.com/howto/33098/index.html. This gives full description for rebuilding C4 headlght drives.
The plastic gears in the headlight motors are weak. I had the same problem with my 1984 Corvette. You can get a new motor, but it's much cheaper to get new gears. Check out the C4 section at CorvetteForum.com for a how-to on replacing it.
Jump on over to Smokinvette.com and there are diagrams for every C4 in the C4 section. Just ask "corvetteDon" he has a ton of information on C4's! Good luck!
