  • Jack up the bike's rear end or put it on a special repair stand as it does not have a center stand. Put the bike in neutral gear. Use a socket wrench to loosen and unfasten the axle nut on the side of the rear swingarm. Remove split from axle nut if there is one with pliers. Unscrew and remove the axle nut. Then hit the axle end with a squarely with a hammer until it comes loose and you can remove it. Now, the rear wheel is free and you can slide it back from from the drive shaft. Remove the rear wheel completely from the swingarm. Give the brake lever a few pushes if brake calipers are stuck on the disc and keeping it in place, this should release them. Ease disc out of calipers with care.
