Let it dry absolutely completely and then paint over it at least twice.

I am assuming you are not going to leave it untreated.

Maybe I am misunderstanding you. I am assuming you mean wall-construction board in 4x8 foot sheets that is used for wallboarding? (Gypsum board)

Or am I wrong? You may want to clarify what you are referring to if it is something different.
