Take an iron and a peice of paper towel and put the paper towel over where the wax is and then hold the iron on top of the wax. Be patient!
Or you could lift the carpet and put a roasting pan under the spill and the carpet. Then using a teapot full of boiling water, pour the water over the wax. The wax will melt through the carpet and into the roasting pan very fast so you don't have to be patient. I thought of this a couple of years ago, however they always erase my signature. Sincerely, Janice Bonser
P.S. The iron idea is not mine. Only the boiling water and roasting pan idea is mine.
Get a brown paper grocery bag, and cut it so that you have a sheet one layer thick. Place it over the candle wax, and iron the bag with a warm iron. The wax will melt, and be wicked into the bag, making what looks like a wet spot on the bag. Shift to a clean spot on the bag, repeat until no more wax gets wicked out. Sounds a bit weird, but actually works quite well and quickly. Have even used this to get spilled wax out of carpet. Keep iron heat to correct temp for polyester.
I'm no expert, but I would try using a hairdryer on high texperature. It would help melt the wax and then possibly you could get most of it off.
E
Scrape it off.

The best way to remove candle wax from cloth is to lay a paper towel over it. Go over it with a hot iron until the wax melts and soaks into the paper towel.
Candle wax can be difficult to remove, especially from delicate jewelry. To remove candle wax from a wedding ring, soak the ring in a bowl of ice water for 10 minutes. Use fingernails or a wood toothpick to scrape the wax away from the metal. Do not use metal objects such as a knife or wire brush.
The candle wax is an insulator.

No. Candle wax hardens..Regular wax dosen't...There would be no way you can remove hair by hardened wax.You can try to wax your legs with candle wax but it won't work. Real body wax has different ingredients than candles.
