No you will burn your self
If you put your face on a hot stove, it WILL burn. It will also burn if you keep it over hot steam/smoke or a fire for a few minutes. Moral of the story question: Don't try to put your face on or directly above a stove.
i think so because it's going to burn your face and you can't breath in hot oil. for example if you put your face in hot water which is like 200degrees, you can't breath in there.

HOT HOT BURN BURN COOLS AND HARDENS
Use moderate heat such as a blow dryer. Be careful not to get the wax hot enough to burn.
It happenned to me when I accidentally placed a microwave container on the hot Ceran surface. I first soaked the deposit in Acetone (after cooling the stove - Acetone is inflammable), and then used the standard ceramic hot plate surface cleaner (I presume some kind of fine abrasive in a paste) followed by real hard rubbing. Another method is to burn it off (watch for toxic smell!), and then remove the residue marks using the normal cleaning paste. I have not tried the latter method, but a friend tells me that it works. If yes fill a bowl with hot water soak a face cloth in and place on your nose keep the cloth as hot as possible and do for at least 10 minutes rub the cloth around the nose for a few minutes then place a cold wet cloth on your nose for a few minutes. the first process with the hot cloth will open the pores rubbing your nose will remove the dirt and the cold wet cloth will close the pores, resist the urge to squeeze a week of this treatment once per day should cure the problem
