The radiator drain plug on a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is located at the bottom of the radiator, typically on the driver's side. It is a small plastic or metal valve that can be turned to allow coolant to drain. You may need to access it from underneath the vehicle for easier reach. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting to drain the radiator.
Just below the lower radiator hose is the drain plug. Be careful and do not use force as it is plastic. jd
The drain plug should be at the bottom of the radiator facing the engine. Some Chevys did not have a drain plug, on these models the bottom radiator hose has to be disconnected to drain the system.

Drain the cooling system (lower corner on the passenger side of the radiator should be where the drain plug is), remove the upper and lower radiator hose and heater hoses (you simply unclamp and pull them), remove the brackets holding the radiator in (located at the sides and bottom of the radiator), pull out the radiator. Installation is the opposite of removal.
