You will need to take the exterior mirror trim panel off first. This is the topmost panel on the inside of the door (and closest to the mirror). There is one screw that holds it in. It may need encouraging when being removed (but don't break it).
Once you have this off you will be able to see a seal over the inside of the door. Pull this out of the way to expose the first retaining bolt for your mirror.
To get at the second and third bolts you will need to take the interior trim off your door. This is done in the following manner:
The inside of your door will be exposed. You should then be able to access the second and third bolts holding your side mirror on (you may need to pull the sealing off completely).
Remove the bolts one at a time. You will need to support the mirror as you loosen the bolts. Do not allow the mirror to dangle off its wiring.
Disconnect the mirror's wiring and you can then remove the mirror assembly.
Putting a new side mirror on involves screwing the mirror on first, then reversing all of the steps you used to take the door panel off to put it back on. With the lock button, you will need to use long nose pliers to extend & open the clamp legs inside the lock button. You will then need to lock your door using your keys to get the locking rod in the right place. Once you have made sure the angle on the top of the lock button is pointing the same way as the trim panel (i.e. flush when locked) you can tap the two together. The lock button will lock onto the rod at the right height automatically.
