Slide a heavy screwdriver under the leading edge of the seat and pry upwards and the seat will snap out of it's retainers. Feed the seat belts through the holes in the seat and remove. This will then expose 2 bolts at the base of the backrest which hold it in plce, remove these and the backrest comes out.
The battery is under the back seat.
to get too the battery and fuse panel on a 2001 olds aurora just lift on the front of the bottom seat and it will pull upand u can pull it out.
In the back of the seat (both) you have a star screw bit that one you remove it you lift up on the back of the seat and the front will come up out of a groove that it slides into.
Under the drivers seat. On bottom of s.eat, not floor
there are two under the back seat....and one on the drivers door dash side...
Move the seat all the way forward then remove the nuts or bolts from rear. Move the seat all the way back then remove the front nuts or bolts. Tip the seat back and disconnect the electrical plug(s). Remove the seat from vehicle.
i was told by "GM" that it is in the trunk. at the back of the seat there is a piece of plastic. pull that off and it should be on the left side on the back wall of the back seat. which would be the drivers side.
I think it's under the back seat. I'm assuming you don't mean the one under the hood.

On my 97 it is under the rear seat.

in one of the fuse panels either under the hood in the panel on the dash right by the drivers door or under the rear seat next to the battery in one of the 2 black boxes just pull up on the front of the back seat to remove it
