I have a drivers side (front) speaker that went out. I think the problem is a speaker connection. How do I remove the window crank (not power windows) and then the whole inside panel?
You can remove the steering will, on your Ford Ranger pickup truck, by removing the steering wheel pin. Remove the wiring harness and the steering wheel will come off.
Remove the door panels
The 1988 Chevrolet S 10 pickup truck driver seatbelt is anchored to the floor of the vehicle. The anchor can be found behind the drivers seat. Remove the seat belt anchor retaining bolts.
It is mounted under the drivers side of the truck in the frame rail.
Unless I'm missing something, just remove the 4 bolts, 2 in front and 2 in back, 13mm socket?

Remove the tire and wheel from your 1988 Ford Ranger pickup truck. Remove the brake pads. When the brake drum is not loose you can tap on it with a hammer or mallet. Once the brake drum is loose it will slide off.
First, remove the negative battery cable. Then remove the wires off of the starter. Then remove the 3 bolts that hold the starter on and work it out around the exhaust.
On a 99 ford Ranger it is located right next the radio on the drivers side behind the dash. Remove the radio and you will see in bolted on the left side of the radio hole.
You will have to remove all trim that surrounds the speaker enclosure. Then remove the panel that houses the speaker. The speaker is removed from the rear side of this panel.
Remove the Drivers side tire and pull back the splash gaurd, you should be able to get #3 and #5 that way.
