Started this today. Remove instrument cluster in center console (gauges/radio), just pull it 3-4 inches. Locate 5 screws on passenger dash, 2 are on windshield post, and remove panel. This where I am now. It appears you have to remove the heat/defroster manifold located behind the gauges and to do that it seems the drivers dash panel must also come out.. There are several bolt/nuts on the large blower unit. I believe once you do that, the heater core should be accessable (sp?). Don't forget theres also supposedly 4 bolts/nuts on the firewall under the hood. I found 1 so far but haven't jacked up the car and looked from the bottom, which knowing good old corvettes are where they're probably at. Anyhow, 1st day of College Football and quit till next week.
